Women Owned Government Relations Firms Teams up with Women in Technology to Discuss:
The Political Game and Why Women Must Play
Boston: Craven & Ober Policy Strategists, LLC a women based government relations firm is teaming up with Women in Technology International (WITI) for an educational presentation hosted by the Boston Globe on April 30, 2002. Founded in 1989, WITI's mission is to empower women worldwide to achieve unimagined possibilities and transformations through technology, leadership and economic prosperity. Nearly every issue that WITI members are committed to is also affected by politics and government. “Politics is like baseball: You can never win if you don't play!” notes Gloria Craven, Managing Partner at Policy Strategists and program presenter.
This panel discussion will help WITI Boston members identify:
- how politics affects their businesses
- how to shape public policies and who to turn to in government for assistance
- a way to understand the women’s agenda at the State House and on Beacon Hill
The Panel will include members of The Caucus of Women Legislators: Senator Joan M. Menard, Representative Kathi-Anne and Senator Marian Walsh.
